What is SAC?

- mission statement -

University of Southern CaliforniaThe Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is an elected staff body that is consultative in nature and serves to aid the Dean's efforts to further the mission of the Rossier School of Education. SAC is a forum in which the staff, through its elected SAC members, can directly communicate with the Dean about matters of concern to both. In ways that are congenial, practical and inclusive, SAC participates in the Dean's efforts toward building trust and confidence throughout all areas of the School's organizational structure. SAC supports the idea of effective school governance through open consultation and communication between the Dean and the RSOE staff.

SAC works to contribute the unique perspective of staff in decisions affecting the goals and vision of the RSOE community. SAC recognizes that success of the RSOE depends on collegial relationships, mutual respect, and accountability among all stakeholders. It encourages the idea of all constituencies sharing in the common goal of making the Rossier School a great place to work; a place where faculty, administration, staff, students and alumni are all enriched through their collaborative efforts.
